FAQs

  • We accept a variety of funding arrangements depending on your eligibility, including:

    • Home Care Packages: If you’re over 65 (or 50+ for First Nations people) and have a package allocated through My Aged Care, you may use those funds for specialist nursing and allied services.

    • NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme): If you are an NDIS participant and your plan includes supports for nursing, lymphoedema management or related clinical care, our services may be claimable.

    • Private/self‑funded: If you don’t have a package or plan, you can still access our services privately on a fee‑for‑service basis

  • Assessment and management of lymphoedema (measurement, skin care, manual lymphatic drainage, compression garment fitting) in line with best practice.

Community and home‑based nursing care: wound management, continence support, post‑operative care, support within aged‑care or retirement communities.

Collaboration with your GP or allied health professionals, to ensure continuity of care and a holistic approach.

  • In many cases we can begin with an in‑home assessment without a specific referral.

For NDIS or Home Care Package funding you might require approval from your case manager and documentation that our service aligns with your plan/support agreement.

For certain compression garments, specialized equipment or subsidized schemes you may need a referral from your GP or specialist. We help you through each of these steps

  • It varies based on your condition and treatment plan. According to the Australasian Lymphology Association’s FAQs:

“How often will I need to see my lymphoedema practitioner? … It depends on your individual needs, stage of condition and response to treatment.”

We will work with you to determine a schedule that suits your needs and review this regularly

  • Yes — we offer mobile visits and community‑based services, including to aged‑care facilities, retirement villages, supported living or in your private home. Our goal is to bring care to you, wherever you are most comfortable.

  • You may be aware that the aged‑care system is undergoing reform, including transition to the Support at Home program from 1 November 2025 for some services.

For clients eligible for the Support at Home program, these nursing services are fully funded under the clinical care category — so you can access expert in-home care

We’ll work with you and your provider to ensure continuity of care regardless of funding changes, and help you navigate any changes to your package or service agreement.

  • Contact us for a friendly initial chat about your situation and whether our service is appropriate for you.

We’ll arrange an in‑home (or facility) visit for assessment.

We develop a personalised care plan aligned with your goals, funding and setting.

We deliver the agreed services, review progress and adjust as needed.
